Land access arbitration system needs overhaul

HALLELUJAH! About bloody time.
That was my reaction when I first heard back in April that respected Sydney silk, Bret Walker SC, had been appointed to conduct an independent review of arbitration process in relation to land access agreements.
It was a genius move. In Bret Walker we have someone respected by all sides of the debate and with perspicacity to spare.
Kudos to NSW Minister for Resources and Energy Anthony Roberts for listening to concerns and calling for a review in the first place. Kudos squared for choosing Bret Walker to do it.
Whether the mining industry is so enthusiastic is hard to say.
