Hours Part time (15.2 hrs/week) flexible schedule
Contract period 12 months with possible extension depending on funding.
Salary $57,500 - $60,000 pa pro rata plus superannuation

The Nature Conservation Council of NSW (NCC) is the peak conservation group in NSW, representing 130 community environment groups across the state.
We are seeking an experienced digital campaigner to lead our online work to protect the environment in NSW.

The digital campaigner will work closely with other staff to develop online strategies that attract new donors and supporters to strengthen our campaigns to protect forests, wildlife, water resources and the marine environment.

Their mission will be to identify and connect with new audiences using digital technologies, while continuing to engage existing members and supporters.

They will use their excellent written communication skills and ability to simplify complex issues to compose clear, compelling appeal emails and social media posts, and to develop design briefs for graphic artists to create forceful online collateral. Ideally, they will have the skills to create these themselves.

Part of the role is to track trends in online organising and the organisation’s digital performance to ensure our strategies evolve to maximise audience reach and engagement.
Key responsibilities

Develop and implement a digital strategy that aligns with the organisation’s campaign and fundraising objectives.
Develop, commission or source compelling content that will help rapidly grow our supporter and donor base.
Manage our online communications calendar to ensure supporter and donor engagement is well coordinated.
Develop and manage user journeys for online and email actions that maximise user engagement.
Monitor, test and analyse recruitment and engagement response rates and impact, and adapt tools and techniques to increase audience participation rates.
Share your online engagement skills and knowledge with campaigns and donor team members.
Monitor and respond to comments and feedback on our online platforms.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Applicants must have a legal right to work in Australia for the period of the contract. Applicants must address the essential and desirable selection criteria in their application.
Essential
 Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and manage digital strategies that support social change and fundraising campaigns.
 Experience in digital campaigning, including high-level use of email, websites, social media, and other online platforms and tools.
 Demonstrated ability to write engaging online content and emails that support fundraising and campaigns.
 Demonstrated ability to rapidly grow a supporter base using email and online channels.
 Demonstrated ability to gather and analyse online behaviour data, segment data and conduct formal tests, and to use that information to fine tune digital campaign strategies and tactics.
 Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to opportunities in rapidly evolving campaign contexts.
 Experience in writing creative briefs for designers or creative agencies.
 Good organisational skills, including time management, attention to detail, an ability to work to tight deadlines, and willingness to work flexible hours.
Desirable
 Demonstrated success at crowd-sourced fundraising.
 Knowledge and experience with the Nationbuilder platform.
 Design skills and experience in creating compelling online content.
