Subject: temporary closure of the Glen Davis works and lookout areas

Asbestos removal contractors are commencing work next week on removal of asbestos sheeting and pipe lagging from structures within the works private property and at the Lookout in Wollemi NP.  Work will involve the removal of asbestos debris and fragments and disposal of recovered material at an authorised disposal location.

The area is closed while this work is being carried out.  Works are expected to take 2 weeks however delays due to weather and unforseen issues could see the project take longer than planned.

I have placed a notice on the NPWS website and have placed the attached poster around the Coorongooba camping area.

Can you let your members know and let me know if there is anyone else I should be contacting.  It may be worthwhile putting the poster advise on the Capertee Valley Alliance blog spot.
